Local Bands to Perform at World's Largest Block Party

Dubbed the "World's Largest Block Party" by Old St. Pat's Church, Chicago's oldest public building and a treasured historic landmark, Friday, June 28 and Saturday, June 29 will offer up two evenings worth of food, drink and, most importantly, live music! While the national scene is well-represented on both days, local music fans are encouraged to check out Chicago (and Radio One) favorites The Shams Band (supporting Punch Brothers and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes on the Main Stage) at 5:30PM on Friday, Vintage Blue (pictured) headlining the South Stage later that evening (at 8:15PM) and Michele McGuire opening for mainstream country acts Gretchen Wilson and Phil Vassar on the Main Stage Saturday.
