Julie Meckler-Queenshead record release at The Hideout, 9/26

Chicago (by way of Paris) chanteuse Julie Meckler has been on a roll over the last couple of years. Some may know her as one of Metromix's "Chicago Artists to Watch"; others will recognize her as a member of local horror punks Rambos; radio listeners have heard her beautiful music and irresistible accent on WLUW and WBEZ.

On Thursday, Sept. 26, Meckler and her crack band (featuring Will Phalen and Shawn Rios, amongst other talented gents) will celebrate the release of her debut album, Queenshead, with a show at The Hideout. The Blue Ribbon Glee Club and Roy Ivy will be on hand as support.
